Sixth plate image of man. He stares intently into the camera; with tinted cheeks and shirt. Encircled with a great ring of tarnish, nearly vignetting the image. Complete with original seals intact and housed in a half leather case. On the inside back of the case reads 'My Dear John / Taken when we were at a meeting in Baltimore in 1848 or 49 - given to me by him when he visited up in Baltimore City at Christmas / 1854.' This image is much crisper and clearer than the scan shows. In addition, the glass could use a great cleaning, however this would break the original seals. We will leave this exercise to the next owner!
