Pristine sixth plate dag of a stately older woman. Her face is ever-so-lightly tinted a light pink. In addition, her shirt, collar and cuffs are lightly tinted. Two rings she wears are gilt. This somewhat drab woman poses confidently for the camera. Her bland demur gives thoughts that she was possibly a librarian, school teacher or spinster of the nineteenth century. Slight ring of tarnish accents this above average daguerreotype. Resealed and housed in a half leather case.
