This Little Early American Document is on Hand Laid Paper and is in Very Good Condition: This May certify That Lavina Smith of Attleborough has this Day Confessed her self Guilty of the Crime of FORNICATION and hath Paid a Fine of Six Shillings for sd Offence according to Law. Elisha May Justice of The Peace. Attleborough Sept 9th 1786 To Samuel Fales Esq Clerk Of The Court of the General sessions of The Peace. On Verso it States Lavina Smiths Confession of Fornication before Elisha May Esq. 4 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches
